今日、私たちの社会が直面する諸問題に取り組み、社会的幸福や経済的福祉を向上するうえで、デザインは、革新的でユーザー中心の持続可能なソリューションを実現するソリューション主導型の思考です。絶え間ない破壊的な社会的、環境的、技術的な要因が、私たちの住むこの世界をこれまで以上に複雑で不安定にしています。
この傾向は、特にアジアにおいて顕著です。アジアにおける過密化する都市問題や増大するグローバルな影響力は、人間中心のデザインのみが解決可能な、新たな時代の課題を生み出しています。
このアジアデザイン賞展示会の目的は、私たちの活動を皆さんにお見せすることです。
2018年DFAアジアデザイン賞を受賞したプロジェクトや、DFAライフタイムアチーブメント賞、DFAデザインリーダーシップ賞、DFA世界優秀中華デザイナー賞、2018年DFA香港ヤングデザインタレント賞の受賞者によるデザインから、厳選したものを展示します。
これらは、アジアの人々の生活の質を向上してより良いアジアを実現するような、ユーザーを第一に考えたデザインとなっています。
Design is a solution driven mindset that enables innovative, user-centric and sustainable solutions for tackling the myriad of challenges faced by our societies today, while also improving our overall well-being. Constant and disruptive social, environmental and technological forces are making the world we live in more complex and volatile than ever before. This is especially true in Asia, whose condensed urban problems and growing international influence are giving rise to a new era of challenges that only human-centred design can solve.
This DFA Awards Exhibition aims to give a glimpse on what we do. It showcases selected winning projects of DFA Design for Asia Awards 2018 and designs by winners of DFA Lifetime Achievement Award, DFA Design Leadership Award, DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer and DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2018 with user-centric designs to enhance the quality of life of people in Asia and for Asia.

About DFA Design for Asia Awards：DFA アジアデザイン賞
香港デザインセンターが2003年にスタートしたDFA賞は、社会におけるデザイナーの役割を支え、アジアにおいてアジアのために影響を与える優れたデザインを称えるために設立されました。また、香港の新鋭デザイナーに対する表彰も目的としています。DFA賞は、次の5つの主要賞から成ります。

About Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award：DFA香港ヤングデザインタレント賞
2005年に設立されたDFA 香港ヤングデザインタレント賞の目的は、香港出身で35歳以下の将来有望な現役デザイナーやデザイン科卒業生の育成を支援することです。クリエイト香港、香港知専設計学院、香港理工大学設計学院の後援のもと、受賞者は最大50万香港ドルの資金援助を受けて、6〜12か月間海外の有名デザイン会社で実習をしたり、6〜18か月間海外へ留学したりできます。
Established in 2005, DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award aims to support and nurture up-and-coming design practitioners and design graduates in Hong Kong aged 35 or below. Sponsored by Create Hong Kong, Hong Kong Design Institute or School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, awardees may receive financial sponsorship up to HK$500,000 to undergo work attachment in renowned overseas design companies for 6 to 12 months or study abroad for 6 to 18 months.
